Max Graham, whose rise in dance music has been called “meteoric,” first made a name for himself touring alongside the legendary Paul Oakenfold, in 2001. That same year, Max’s track “Airtight” found itself #1 on the coveted Balance pool chart and was nominated for a Juno Award (the Canadian version of the Grammy). Max was then asked to mix the 4th installment of the “Transport” mix series, following such heavy hitters as Paul Oakenfold, Dave Ralph, and Sandra Collins.

Fast forward to 2004, Max Graham is set to release his newest mix CD on System Recordings, entitled ‘Shine’. Featuring tracks from Junkie XL and Sander Kleinenberg, ‘Shine’ is a continuation as well as a progression of Max Graham as a DJ. Max considers ‘Shine’ more than just the title of his new CD – “It’s really a concept.” The CD is a reflection of both the “Shine” club night he runs in Canada as well as shinemusic, the upcoming label.
